Collection of Your Personal Information

When using our Platform, you may be asked to provide certain personal information to us in order to use certain products or services available on the Site. These may include: (a) signing up for our newsletter or for any of our events; (b) sending us an email message; and/or (c) submitting your credit card or other payment information when using the Site to make a donation to ALS One. In connection with your use of our Platform, we may ask you to provide personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address, or telephone number. If you choose to make a donation or sign up for a paid event, membership or newsletter, we may ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address, which is used to create a billing account. These uses may include providing you with more effective service; making the Platform or services easier to use; performing research and analysis aimed at improving our products, services, communications and technologies; and displaying content that is customized to your interests and preferences.

We also use your Personal Information to communicate with you. We may send certain service communications such as information on technical service issues, information on our products and services and its functionality and security announcements.

ALS One may also use your Personal Information to inform you of other activities of ALS One and its affiliates and partners.

We respect the privacy of our financial supporters and, as such, ALS One will not rent, lease, sell or exchange its donor list with other organizations.

ALS One may, however, share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, host our Site, process transactions (including credit card processing), or provide customer support. All such third parties are prohibited from using your Personal Information except to provide these services to ALS One, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your Personal Information. Security of Your Personal Information

ALS One secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

We retain your Personal Information in accordance with our business needs and for legal, regulatory, audit and tax requirements. After this period the Personal Information relating to your account and your use of our Platform will be deleted. Any Personal Information which you have provided to us for receiving information, newsletters and event invitations will be kept until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

  • Ordering information, including all costs

All submissions must be directly related to the field of ALS, and will be reviewed by ALS One against our criteria when time allows. At our discretion, you may be required to submit more detailed information about your organization and/or your submission. ALS One does not accept paid advertising or participate in banner exchange.

If you would like to support our mission by placing a link to our Site on your Web site, we ask that you comply with the following guidelines:

  • Any text-only link must clearly be written as ALS One, Inc.

  • Our logo is unique to the organization, and its use is protected by federal law. Its use is restricted to ALS One unless you have received written permission for us. If you would like to display a logo-based link, please send a written request, with your Web site URL, to jen@alsone.org.

  • Do not incorporate any content from our Site into your Web site through in-lining, framing or creating border environments around our content.
